copper dog day 1

A brisk and beautiful start to the 2014 Copper Dog 150! We've made it to Eagle Harbor after shooting the start and a cruise on Trail #3 leapfrogging the teams to hit them again just before the turnoff of the 40 mile racers to Eagle River, and the 150s up to Eagle Harbor. Happy dogs and perfect trails. Everyone is safe and sound, and thank goodness for a trail-side bonfire 'cause it's COLD out here! What a turnout at the start too. #SISU
