copper dog day 2

Day 2 - done. Our team started lazily in Eagle Harbor (1h delay for dogs, but really for us...) and ended up in Copper Harbor. A huge thanks to the Larry and Nancy Molloy who selflessly shared their home with a bunch of smelly race officials and volunteers. A bed?! Nice... We back-tracked only a few times to get our snowshoes that kept disappearing from the back of our sled after shooting the start as we hi-tailed it to the Harbor for gas. We beat the team to a special point south of the East Bluff and headed back to the Harbor before our hand warmers stopped working. Beautiful dogs. Beautiful scenes. We'll start early on Sunday and show you what it all looks like from the top of Brockway Mountain. Can't wait!
